You roll three dice. The available movements depend on the result:
- All three different: Use each value once. A roll of 2–3–5 gives one move of 2, one of 3 and one of 5—three movements.
- A pair: Use the matching value four times and the other value once. A roll of 5–5–2 gives four moves of 5 and one move of 2—five movements.
- Three matching dice: Use that value nine times. A roll of 6–6–6 gives nine moves of 6.
Yes. You can divide your available movements among several checkers or use more than one movement with the same checker.
For example, with 2–3–5, you could move three different checkers or move the same checker in separate steps. Every intermediate landing must be legal. Combining dice does not let a checker bypass an illegal landing. You must use as many movements as the rules legally allow. TrigammonX checks which moves are permitted. If you have checkers on the bar, you must re-enter them before moving your other checkers. If no legal moves remain, use the available End Turn control to continue play.
The optional Two-Dice mode uses two dice:
- Different values: Use each value once.
- Doubles: Use the matching value four times. For example, 4–4 gives four moves of 4.
